The President has at his disposal 132 rooms, 35 bathrooms, twenty-eight fireplaces, eight staircases, three elevators, five full-time chefs, a tennis court, a (single-lane) bowling alley, a movie theater, a jogging track, a swimming pool, and a putting green. The Executive Residence houses the president's home, as well as rooms for ceremonies and official entertaining. The White House Complex includes the central Executive Residence flanked by the East Wing and West Wing. On November 1, 1800, President John Adams became the first occupant of the residence.
